
Wool carding technique workshop
This workshop will introduce you to the techniques of wool carding.
Be sure to read all the information below.
Course duration: 2h30
Notions covered:
● create batts with the inclusion of other materials, and different fibers.
● learn various color-mounting techniques
● create batts with the blending board
● create rolags with hand cards

none
Materials to be purchased from the instructor
To be paid on site: $25 starter kit to be paid to Marie-Pierre. This kit includes a 100gr. braid and yarn for decoration during twisting.
You can also bring your own fiber, or buy some from Tisse et File.
Equipment to bring if you have it
● hand cards
● mixing board
● carding machine

● comfortable shoes or socks

The location
The spinning class will take place at Tisse et File, 571 Boul. St-Jean-Baptiste in Mercier.
The class
The class will take place from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Languages of instruction
Although the language of instruction will be French by default, translation is possible.
Number of participants
A minimum of 5 registrations and a maximum of 6 people are expected for the course to run smoothly.
