Two systems available: Double Drive or Scotch Tension

The Polonaise can operate using two tension systems.

Double Drive

• a continuous drive band powers both the bobbin and flyer
• highly precise mechanical control
• tension adjusted through the drive band

Single Drive with Scotch Tension

• independent brake adjustment on the bobbin
• precise control of yarn take-up
• easy adaptation to different yarn styles

This dual compatibility makes the wheel extremely versatile.

Standard ratios

The Polonaise comes with a whorl providing the following ratios:

8:1 – 12:1 – 16:1 – 20:1

These ratios allow spinning of:

• medium yarns (8:1)
• standard yarns (12:1)
• finer yarns (16:1)
• fine yarns requiring higher twist (20:1)

This range covers a wide variety of spinning projects.

Orifice

Orifice diameter: 10 mm (3/8")

This size is suitable for medium to fine yarns.

For bulkier yarns, a Jumbo configuration may be considered depending on available accessories.
