Louët Jane 8 or 16 Shaft Table Loom
The Louët Jane is a compact and versatile table loom, available with 8 shafts expandable to 16 or with 16 shafts. Offered in 50, 70 and 90 cm weaving widths, it provides extensive multi-shaft weaving possibilities without requiring the space of a floor loom.
Made from solid lacquered beech wood, the Jane features a suspended beater, built-in raddle and a cord system that runs over rollers. It can also be folded to just 21 cm (8 1/4") with the warp in place, making it particularly convenient for storage and transport.

Why choose the Louët Jane?
The Jane offers the possibilities of a multi-shaft loom in a particularly compact format. Its suspended beater stays out of the way when throwing the shuttle, while the shafts return to their resting position after use.
The cords run entirely over rollers to help reduce wear. The loom also includes a built-in raddle to assist with warp preparation.
Because the Jane can be folded with a warp still on the loom, it is easier to free up space between weaving sessions or transport the loom when needed. A dedicated floor stand is also available separately for weavers who prefer a freestanding setup.

Care and use
The Jane can be used on a table or installed on the dedicated floor stand, available separately. For storage or transport, the loom can be folded to 21 cm (8 1/4") without removing the warp.
The Jane 50 features a carrying handle. The Jane 70 and 90 are too large for a carrying handle. Protective feet allow the loom to rest safely when folded.
Why we like it
The Jane offers a particularly appealing combination of versatility, compact design and room to grow. The expandable 8-shaft version allows you to begin with 8 shafts without limiting your future options, while the 16-shaft versions provide immediate access to all 16 shafts and include the shuttle race.
We also appreciate its practical design: the loom folds with the warp in place, the suspended beater leaves the shuttle path clear, and the raddle is built directly into the loom.
