Kromski designed the Fantasia spinning wheel for spinners looking for a modern, elegant, and highly functional wheel.
While many people notice the Fantasia for the distinctive curved lines of its weighted wheel, it is in fact the discreet and innovative flyer design that is most appreciated. The flyer assembly allows spinners to change bobbins quickly and easily without removing the drive band. The flyer is held in place by a very strong magnet and releases smoothly with a gentle pull, providing immediate access to the bobbin.
The flyer, bobbin, and pulley are three separate components, making it easy to change bobbins and pulleys as needed. Both the flyer and the wheel rotate on ball bearings, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, quiet, and effortless spinning experience.
The flyer is equipped with sliding hooks, allowing precise control of yarn placement as the bobbin fills evenly. The Fantasia includes three interchangeable pulleys, offering multiple spinning ratios and allowing the spinner to create a wide range of yarn types.
The wheel features a single-drive Scotch tension system, a double treadle, and an onboard Lazy Kate that holds two bobbins, making it a versatile and user-friendly spinning wheel suitable for beginners and experienced spinners alike.
