Drive Ratio & Carding Speed

Tips for Best Results
Feed the fibres onto the licker-in drum in thin, even layers. Avoid overloading the carder, as several light passes generally produce smoother, more consistent batts than a single heavy pass.
For exceptionally well-blended batts, remove the first batt, divide it into several strips and pass it through the carder a second time.
Fibres should be clean, completely dry and well opened before carding.
Care & Maintenance
After each use, remove any remaining fibres from the drums using the supplied doffer brush. Because the gears are enclosed, very little fibre enters the drive mechanism.
Always handle the carding cloth carefully. The wire teeth are extremely fine and very sharp.
