Brume Weaving Pattern – Baby Alpaca Scarf for 4-Shaft Looms
The Brume weaving pattern invites you to create a soft, elegant scarf in three colours, with subtle motifs that appear and change throughout the fabric.
Designed for a 4-shaft loom, Brume combines a classic twill structure with a series of colour sequences. The result is a lightweight scarf with a beautiful drape and enough variation to keep the weaving interesting from beginning to end.
The original scarf was woven with our Baby Alpaca yarn, selected for its exceptional softness, warmth and fluidity. You may reproduce the colour arrangement shown in the photos or use the sequences as inspiration to create your own interpretation.
Brume is intended for advanced beginner weavers who are comfortable preparing a warp, reading a weaving draft and following treadling instructions.

Create Your Own Version
The sequences are presented in the same order as in the weaving draft, allowing you to see the patterns they produce.

Recommended Yarn
Brume was designed using our 100% Baby Alpaca yarn. Its softness, lightness and fluid drape make it particularly well suited to scarves and other accessories worn close to the skin.
You may also substitute another yarn with similar characteristics. Because a change in fibre, yarn size or sett may affect the finished fabric, weaving a sample before beginning the project is recommended.
Complete the Project
The Baby Alpaca yarn and the complete Brume kit are also available separately. Choose the yarn on its own to create your own colour palette, or select the complete kit to receive the pattern and three coordinated colours.
