Convert your regular warp beam
On compatible Leclerc looms, you do not need to replace the complete back warp beam to take advantage of sectional warping.
The four sectional rakes attach to the regular warp beam to create the divisions required for sectional warping. Once installed, the loops spaced at 1" intervals keep each section of warp separated as it is wound onto the beam.
This allows you to keep your existing warp beam while adding the option of sectional warping.
Why choose 1" sections?
With 1" (25 mm) sections, the number of warp ends required in each section corresponds directly to your sett.
For example, a warp sett at 24 ends per inch requires 24 ends in each 1" section. This makes calculations straightforward and allows you to work with a relatively small number of ends at a time.
One-inch sections are particularly versatile for fine yarns, higher setts and projects that require precise warp preparation.

The sectional rakes create the divisions on the warp beam, but direct sectional warping also requires a way to feed multiple yarns simultaneously and control their tension.
The number of spools used at one time depends on your sett. With 1" sections, for example, a warp sett at 20 ends per inch requires 20 ends to be fed simultaneously to fill each section.
