Love bead weaving but not all the warp ends that need to be dealt with once your piece is finished? The Mirrix No Warp-Ends Kit was designed specifically to simplify this part of the process.
Using a system of stainless steel bars, Texsolv cord and S-hooks, the warp forms small loops at the ends of your piece instead of leaving numerous individual warp threads to weave in. The result is much less finishing, less wasted warp and a system particularly well suited to bracelets and other small bead-weaving projects.

Why choose the No Warp-Ends Kit?
With traditional bead weaving, individual warp threads generally need to be dealt with during finishing. On a piece with many warp threads, this can quickly become one of the most time-consuming parts of the project.
The No Warp-Ends system changes the way the warp is set up on the loom. Instead of leaving a series of loose warp ends at each end of your piece, it creates small loops that do not need to be woven in individually.
This makes finishing much faster. Because the warp is set up close to the dimensions required for your project, the system also helps reduce wasted warp material.

How does the No Warp-Ends system work?
The kit uses two stainless steel bars attached to the loom with Texsolv cord. S-hooks create the points around which the warp is set up.
When the finished piece is removed from the loom, instead of having the usual series of loose warp threads to weave in, the system leaves small loops at the ends of the piece.
Another advantage is that you can keep the setup in place to weave multiple pieces of the same size. Once the kit has been properly installed, Mirrix indicates that the same configuration can be used to continue weaving pieces with identical dimensions.
Which size should you choose?
The No Warp-Ends Kit is available in different sizes to accommodate different project widths and Mirrix looms.
Choose your kit according to the width of the piece you want to weave and the loom on which you plan to use it. A smaller kit can be used on a larger Mirrix loom, so the kit does not necessarily need to match the full width of your loom.
Mirrix designed this system primarily for smaller bead-woven pieces and does not recommend it for very wide projects.
Compatibility
The No Warp-Ends Kit is designed for use with Mirrix looms. Mirrix indicates that a smaller kit can be installed on a larger loom, allowing you to choose the system according to your project width rather than the loom's maximum weaving width.
Important: the No Warp-Ends Kit cannot be used with the shedding device. Bead weaving with this system is therefore done without the shedding device.

Is your main goal simply to save warp?

Installation and use
The two stainless steel bars are attached to the loom using the Texsolv cord. The S-hooks then create the points around which the warp is set up.
The loom height and position of the system are adjusted according to the dimensions of the piece you want to weave. Once the warp is set up, you can weave your project using the traditional bead-weaving method.
The No Warp-Ends Kit is used without a shedding device. If your Mirrix loom has a shedding device, it is not used with this system.
