The Leclerc Nilus II 8-shaft jack-type floor loom is designed for weavers who want to explore more complex weave structures with confidence. With 8 shafts, it opens the door to advanced patterns while maintaining the reliability, strength, and practicality that Leclerc looms are known for.

Traditionally, jack looms are valued for their simplicity and ease of tie-up, but they can have limited shed openings when using more than 4 shafts. The back-hinge treadle system of the Nilus II solves this challenge:

  • Treadles anchored at the back provide extra power to lift the warp threads.
  • A moving rocker mechanism balances tension across all cords.
  • The controlled angle of the shafts ensures a wide, clean, and consistent shed.

⚠️ Note: because of the longer back-hinge treadles, folding the loom is slightly less simple than on the 4-shaft version.
