An easy-level weaving pattern to create a plain weave scarf, designed exclusively for a shaft loom, using Zephir (Zephira) merino and silk yarn.

Detailed description

The Milleraies scarf weaving pattern allows you to create an elegant and timeless scarf using plain weave, a simple structure that highlights colour interplay and the natural qualities of fine yarns.

The project results in a scarf measuring approximately 9 inches x 70 inches after wet finishing. Plain weave provides a balanced, supple fabric that is comfortable to wear and well suited to everyday use.

This pattern was designed to be woven with Jagger Spun Zephir (also known as Zephira), a refined yarn made from a unique blend of 50% fine merino wool and 50% Tussah silk. This combination offers softness, drape, and subtle sheen, producing a luminous and wearable textile.

Created exclusively for shaft looms, the Milleraies pattern is ideal for weavers looking for an accessible project while working with a high-quality wool-and-silk yarn.
