Small, lightweight and remarkably versatile, the Mirrix Chloe Pocket Loom is a portable loom designed for tapestry and bead weaving. Despite its compact size, it offers true adjustable warp tension directly on the loom as well as an interchangeable sett comb system.
Available from Tisse et File in 5" or 8" weaving widths, the Chloe is equally well suited to those discovering tapestry or bead weaving and to experienced weavers looking for a small loom for sampling, travel or small-format projects. Both models sold by Tisse et File come with 8 EPI combs.

Why choose the Chloe?
The Chloe was designed around three qualities: versatility, portability and functionality. Unlike a simple weaving frame, it allows you to adjust warp tension directly on the loom while weaving, a particularly useful feature for tapestry weaving.
Its combs are also interchangeable. You can therefore begin with the 8 EPI combs included by Tisse et File and add another sett only when your projects require it.
Its compact size makes it an excellent first loom, while still providing enough control and versatility for experienced weavers who want an easily transportable loom for travel, teaching or sampling.

Which model should you choose?
The 5" and 8" Chloe looms work on exactly the same principle. Both provide an 8" weaving length, adjustable tension and interchangeable sett combs. Your choice therefore depends mainly on the width of your projects and the degree of portability you want.

Our recommendation: for most weavers, we recommend the Chloe 8". The additional 3" of weaving width provides considerably more possibilities for tapestry while keeping the loom small and easy to transport. The 5" remains an excellent choice if you mainly make very small pieces or if maximum portability is your priority.
Which version should you choose?
Both Chloe sizes are available from Tisse et File with or without the two small Chloe wrenches. The loom itself is identical: the wrenches simply make assembly and tension adjustments easier.

Our recommendations
Should you choose the version with the wrenches?
For a first Chloe, we recommend the version with the two wrenches. They are not essential if you already own suitable wrenches, but they make assembly and tension adjustments easier.
What about the sett combs?
We have intentionally simplified our Chloe offering: both the 5" and 8" looms sold by Tisse et File come with 8 EPI combs, a versatile sett particularly well suited to tapestry weaving. There is no need to purchase several setts right away. If your projects evolve, you can add 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 EPI combs separately.

Care and use
Warp tension can be adjusted directly on the loom while weaving. Make adjustments gradually and make sure the different components are properly tightened before you begin weaving.
Handle the combs carefully, as their surfaces and teeth may be sharp. Current Chloe combs are powder-coated and their teeth are slightly angled. When changing combs or disassembling the loom, make sure the different components are properly aligned when reassembling.
Why we love it
The Chloe combines three particularly useful features in a very small loom: true adjustable tension, interchangeable sett combs and excellent portability.
We also appreciate the fact that it can evolve with the weaver. You can start simply with the included 8 EPI combs and add only the other setts you actually need. Of the two sizes, the 8" is our most versatile choice, while the 5" is particularly appealing when the smallest possible format is the priority.

Should I choose the Chloe 5" or 8"?
The 5" is ideal if you want the most compact loom possible or mainly make very small pieces. For most tapestry projects, we recommend the 8": it provides more freedom in width while remaining very portable.
Can I weave both tapestry and beads on the same loom?
Yes. The Chloe is designed for both fibres and beads. For bead weaving, you can add sett combs suited to the size of beads you use.
Which sett combs are included?
The Chloe 5" and 8" looms sold by Tisse et File include only one pair of 8 EPI combs. Other setts are sold separately.
What are the two Chloe wrenches for?
