Already have the Mirrix warp coils you need? The Mirrix Bottom Spring Kit lets you add a warp coil to the lower part of your loom to help keep warp threads organized and evenly spaced during warping and at the beginning of your weaving.
This version includes the bottom spring tray only — no warp coil is included. It is ideal if you already own Mirrix warp coils or prefer to purchase only the sett or setts you need for your projects.

Why add a bottom spring?
On most Mirrix looms, the warp coil at the top helps determine and maintain the spacing of the warp threads. The Bottom Spring Kit applies the same principle to the lower part of the loom.
By adding a warp coil that corresponds to the one used at the top, the warp threads remain organized and evenly spaced at both ends of the weaving area. This can make warping and the first rows of bead weaving or first picks of tapestry weaving easier to manage.
A bottom spring is not required for the loom to function, but it can make setup much easier when working with a large number of closely spaced warp threads.

No warp coil is included with this version of the kit. You can use a Mirrix warp coil you already own or purchase the sett you need separately.
The bottom warp coil should normally correspond to the warp coil used at the top of the loom so that the warp threads maintain the same spacing at both ends of the weaving area.
This option is particularly useful if you already own several Mirrix warp coils and do not want to purchase additional coils you do not need.
For bead weaving
The bottom spring is particularly useful for wide bead-weaving projects. When many warp threads are positioned close together, it helps keep them organized during warping and while weaving the first rows.
It can also be useful when working with a shedding device by helping keep the warp threads organized while the heddles are being set up.
For tapestry weaving
The Bottom Spring Kit can also be a valuable addition for tapestry weaving. It helps maintain consistent warp spacing at both the top and bottom of the loom.

Installation and use
The tray attaches to the lower part of the loom using permanent double-sided adhesive.
Once the tray is installed, insert the Mirrix warp coil that corresponds to your desired sett. The warp threads can then be placed in the dents of the bottom coil in the same way they are positioned in the upper warp coil.
When you are ready to advance your weaving around the loom, first release the tension and remove the bottom warp coil. The tray itself can remain attached to the loom while the weaving is advanced.
