Rigid Heddle Kits
Ready-to-weave kits for rigid heddle looms: coordinated materials and step-by-step guidance.
Choose by skill level (beginner → advanced), technique (colour-and-weave, log cabin, leno, denting),
and the recommended reed sett (dpi).
Our rigid heddle kits bundle coordinated yarns with step-by-step instructions to complete your project (scarves, towels, accessories…). Check the recommended reed sett (dpi), your loom’s weaving width, and whether a second heddle or pick-up sticks are required for the technique.
How to choose your kit
- Skill level: start with plain weave/colour-and-weave, then explore log cabin, denting, leno, pick-up.
- Weaving width: confirm your loom’s usable width meets the project requirements.
- Reed sett (dpi): follow the suggested sett to achieve the intended width and hand.
Do kits include instructions?
Yes — each kit includes clear steps (direct warping, weaving, finishing). Contents are listed on each kit page.
Can I substitute the yarns?
Often yes. Keep an equivalent sett/yarn size so the final width and fabric hand stay consistent.
Do I need a second heddle?
Only for specific effects (double-heddle, denser setts). Otherwise, one or two pick-up sticks can create textured or lacey patterns.
