2/8 Cotolin – Cotton and Linen Weaving Yarn | Maurice Brassard
Maurice Brassard’s 2/8 cotolin is a classic and versatile weaving yarn, ideal for creating textiles that are both beautiful and durable for everyday use. Made of 60% cotton and 40% linen, it combines the absorbency and softness of cotton with the strength and natural texture of linen.
This yarn is especially appreciated for weaving towels, table linens, placemats, aprons, and light home textiles. It performs well as both warp and weft and is suitable for use on shaft looms as well as rigid heddle looms.
After washing, the linen component softens while maintaining excellent structure. The resulting fabric becomes more supple and textured over time, offering a refined and authentic look.
Why choose cotolin?
- Highly absorbent – perfect for towels and home linens
- Strong enough for warp
- Softens with use while retaining structure
- Withstands frequent washing and daily wear
