Flax, a natural fiber!

This is probably the most environmentally friendly fibre: it requires little fertilizer and pesticides and processing processes have evolved a lot.
It is produced mainly in Western Europe and especially in France and Belgium, where the climate is very favourable.

After 100 days, between seeding and harvesting, rusting, dyeing and combing will mark the journey of the production of this fiber. The fibres extracted from the stems and roots (which is why the plant is torn off and not cut) are long or short; Long, thin fibres are spun into water. they will form a fine thread, while the shorter fibers are spun dry, so the yarn is larger and more rustic.

The linen thread is excellent in chain weaving and wefting, depending on the quality of the yarn.

The characteristics of a textile woven with linen lies in:

- comfort: the air contained in the fibers of flax gives it an insulating character. It naturally retains freshness while absorbing moisture and remains pleasant to wear in summer than winter. It regulates temperature differences, eliminating the irritations they cause.

- softness: over time and washes, the thread softens, softens; it is beautifying.

- Solidity: it does not deform and does not bulge or fluff.

- resistance to light and water.

All these reasons make it an exceptional fiber, a fiber to use for great projects. Watch our products, beautiful linen yarn will be available very soon!
