What is an advent calendar for weavers?
We all know the original advent calendar. Of Germanic origin, it was intended to keep children waiting patiently until Christmas. Tisse et File and Atelier Monique Ratelle offer you an advent calendar to keep weavers waiting for Christmas with a set of surprises that are exclusively for you.
What will this special weaving advent calendar contain?
- luxurious yarns: soft, pleasant, unique;
- two weaving patterns. These projects are designed by Monique Ratelle especially and exclusively for this 2023 advent calendar. You won't find it anywhere else.
You can select yourself, depending on the equipment you have, the project that suits you best:
- for a 4-frame loom,
- for an 8-frame loom or
- for a rigid heddle loom.
The patterns will be available in French and English;
- the link for a video with all the directions needed to make the patterns;
- other surprises - great ones! - related to weaving and textiles will complete the calendar so that you receive 24 of them, to illuminate each of the days preceding December 25.
All surprises will be carefully and separately wrapped and the opening day for each one will be clearly indicated.
What material will be needed to complete the weaving project?
You can select the type of loom you have:
- 4-shaft,
- 8-shaft or
- rigid heddle loom.
4 or 8-shaft loom:
- 8 or 16 dent reed
- 12 dent reed
- 1 to 3 shuttles and bobbins
Rigid heddle loom:
If you are working with one heddle:
- 15 dents heddle
If you are working with two heddles:
- 15 dent reed
- 2 x 12.5 dent reed
And:
- 3 shuttles
- 1 pick up stick
In what language will the information be presented?
All information will be in French and English.
When will I receive my advent calendar?
Your calendar will be available starting on November 7, 2023.
It will be sent to you or you can pick it up in person either at Tisse et File, in Mercier, QC, or at Atelier Monique Ratelle, in Saint-Michel-des-Saints, QC.
When can I reserve my advent calendar?
You can reserve your advent calendar directly on the Tisse et File website or in our store from July 26, 2023 at 7:00 PM.
