Ashford's 16 executives table job: a great experience!

For the past few weeks, I've been testing the 16 Ashford executives' table craft.

This craft is also available in 8 or 4 frames in weaving widths of 40, 60 or 80 cm. These trades are portable (the 16 frames still requires some muscles!), foldable and oh so effective.

I will talk more about the 4 and 8 executives later to focus today on the 16 frames. This craft is made only with a weaving width of 60 cm (24''), a nice width for a table craft.
It comes in spare parts. The instructions (a succession of diagrams) allow you to put this puzzle together - which isn't really one! - in a few hours. The wood, silver beech, is varnished and the overall appearance is superb. The craft looks robust and provides a good seat that persists when embedded in its table (optional).

For the assembly of the chain, everything is done easily: the passage in smooth, ros - which places and withdraws quickly and easily - it is just necessary to monitor the direction of winding on the shoulder a little different on the Ashford table crafts.

And here we are at the weaving... I love it!
I grant you, a table trade remains a table trade and the movement is never as fluid as on a flooring trade, but still, these Ashford table trades are really nice.
I like the suspended beater, facilitating regularity (in my opinion) and movement. I like the handles to lift the frames: wide, easy to lift and lower. The movement is flexible, steady. The handles are controlled individually, which increases the possibility of patterns.
Finally, I like to weave in peace, so this craft perfectly meets my expectations: be it the Texsolv needles, the frames, the beater ... everything is relatively quiet.

Of course this craft, like all multi frames, can be used with only a few frames. Thus, it adapts to all levels of weaving, but offers a huge opportunity for evolution for people who want to create complex patterns.

Overall, I really like this job. It's also great value for money.

Hours of fun in perspective!
