The Louët S17 spinning wheel, like the S10, is one of Louët's first-generation spinning wheels. It's also an exceptional wheel for beginners, allowing you to explore the wonderful world of spinning.

This spinning wheel comes in kit form and requires complete assembly.  The wood is not finished - you'll need to lacquer, oil or paint it, depending on your preference.

It features a spool drive belt with a brake to regulate tension. It's also an evolutionary spinning wheel. The result is spinning wheels that are easy to learn to spin, but also very suitable for spinning thicker yarns. The bobbins have three turns which can be used to obtain three spinning speeds or ratios (the speed of the wheel is determined by the difference in size between the main flywheel and the bobbin turn).
